What should I do if it is after hours, or I need emergency care?
Patients who need care when the clinic is not open should still call the clinic first. A nurse will evaluate your needs and contact the provider on call if necessary. The provider on-call will then guide your care as needed. If it is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to the emergency room directly.

How can I find a doctor?
Call our special phone number: 735-DOCS (735-3627) and a representative will help you find the provider that is right for you. If you receive a voice message, please leave your name, telephone number and area of health concern, and someone will get back to you within 24 hours. Or, you can also fill out our online request as well.

How are prescription refills handled?
Refills should be called to your pharmacy. The pharmacy will contact your clinic directly for instructions. Refills will be handled within one to five working days.

Do you offer same-day appointments?
Some of the NorthReach Healthcare clinics offer same-day appointments for acute, urgent care needs. Some restrictions may apply, so please contact your clinic directly for appointment availability.

Is NorthReach Healthcare in my insurance plan?
Many insurance companies require you see a “Participating” provider or “In-Network” provider. Please be aware of your insurance company’s requirements.

Do I need to bring my insurance card?
Please bring your insurance card with you at every visit, and notify us of any change in coverage. Please call your insurance company for specific coverage information.

Do you accept Medicare?
Yes. Charges for services are sent to Medicare for you. Deductibles that are not met are due at the time of service. We will cross over claims to your secondary insurance.

Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes. Patients who are covered by the Wisconsin Medical Assistance Program or Michigan Medicaid must present their current card and the required co-payment prior to being seen. *Only select NorthReach clinics accept Upper Peninsula Health Plan (UPHP) patients. The clinics that accept UPHP are: Daggett Medical Clinic, NorthReach Pediatrics, Twin Cities OB/GYN and Women’s Specialty Care.

What do I need to pay up-front?
All patients are required to pay their co-pay at time of service along with any outstanding balances unless prior arrangements have been made.

Can I make payment arrangements?
Yes. If you are unable to pay your balance in full within 30 days, a payment arrangement is required for the remaining balance. We urge you to call the billing office at 715-732-2075 ext. 22 or 33 and speak to one of our financial counselors to assist you in setting up a payment arrangement. What if I don’t have insurance?
You will be given a discount if you do not have insurance and do not qualify for any third party or government health benefits. You will be required to pay a minimum of $40 at the time of service. NorthReach Healthcare offers a community care program that gives discounts up to 100% if patients meet certain guidelines and can’t pay for services.
